It all started with sketches. Together with the award-winning designer Harri Koskinen, we had the honour of studying the rarely-seen sketchbooks and handiwork of the designer couple Alvar and Aino Aalto.

Alvar and Aino Aalto were the pioneers of Scandinavian design. Their work and design classics have left their mark on numerous homes and hearts around the world. Now the Aaltos’ aesthetics and the Finnish design heritage will adorn your wrist with a modern classic.

THE FAVOURITE MATERIAL OF THE AALTOS: BIRCH

The wood is both delicate and strong, just like the artistic style of the Aaltos. The Aaltos were pioneers, and later icons, of working with and bending wood.

Finnish birch bends again. This time into a watch.

FOLLOWING THE HANDIWORK OF THE AALTOS

The award-winning Finnish designer Harri Koskinen created the watch collection based on the design philosophy of the Aaltos. Koskinen combined the Aaltos’ favourite material, birch, and the most recognisable details of their iconic design heritage, such as the circular hole pattern and wooden grating.

Functionality, an everyday aesthetic and timelessness formed the base for Alvar and Aino Aalto’s design philosophy.
