An automatic watch has a mechanical movement powered by wrist motion. It doesn’t need a battery but requires regular wear or manual winding.

Pull the crown to the first position and rotate it clockwise about 40 times. This ensures your watch has enough power to run smoothly for up to 42 hours.

The sealed structure of Aarni Watches guarantees that the movement will be safe from water and dust (5 ATM). You don't need to worry about water accidents in everyday use. Just remember to leave the watch on a table before taking a shower or sauna. 

Aarni Watches are made to fit all wrist sizes. The wooden band can be easily adjusted to just your size by removing or adding band links. Each watch is supplied with extension links and small screwdrivers that allow the to be adjusted conveniently at home, too.

The metal components of our watches are made from 316L stainless steel, commonly known as surgical steel. While this material contains trace amounts of nickel, it is bound with other elements in the alloy, preventing any nickel from being released onto the skin. Therefore, 316L stainless steel is generally considered nickel-free and should not cause allergic reactions.

If your watch has an automatic movement, it may not have received enough motion to wind itself. In this case, you can manually wind the watch by turning the crown clockwise in the bottom position. If your watch has a quartz movement, meaning it is powered by a battery, the battery is most likely dead. Depending on the model, the battery life ranges from 2 to 8 years. You can have the battery replaced at your nearest watch store.

Quartz movement batteries typically last 2–8 years. When the time comes, the battery can be replaced at any local watch shop.

The wooden parts of the watch are treated with natural wood oils and require minimal maintenance. However, to keep the wood looking its best and to maintain its natural moisture and shine, we recommend applying a natural wood treatment oil once a year —paraffin oil works great for this.

Wipe it down with a soft, damp cloth and use a colorless leather conditioner when needed. Avoid storing the bag in high temperatures or direct sunlight for extended periods.

Lens replacement is possible for all our frames, and many customers have obtained prescription lenses for our sunglasses. We recommend contacting a knowledgeable optical store to have the lenses made and fitted to the frames. It's a good idea to confirm the suitability of your prescription with the optician. Yes, they are! However, it's best to avoid extreme temperatures and rapid temperature changes. Therefore, we do not recommend leaving the sunglasses in a hot car for extended periods.

Our lenses have a darkness level of 2–3 on the CAT scale (0–5), meaning they offer excellent sun protection while remaining versatile for varying light conditions.

Some of our sunglass models feature metal temples and nose pads, which can be slightly bent and adjusted. Through extensive product development, we have created optimally sized temples that fit most people perfectly. However, wooden temples cannot be bent.

All of our sunglasses feature optically high-quality polycarbonate lenses. They are highly impact-resistant and comfortably lightweight and thin. They offer 100% UVA and UVB protection.

Our sunglasses are crafted in a specialized workshop on the outskirts of Shanghai, known for its expertise in working with wood material. The factory places a strong focus on product development and advanced equipment.
