Natural materials thank you when you give them love and care every now and then. Here are the tips on how to take best care of your Aarni products.
Wooden Watch
To keep the wooden parts of the watch beautifully shiny and dirt-repellent, we recommend cleaning and oiling them about once a year.
Cleaning the wood
If necessary, the wooden parts of the watch can be cleaned with a mild soap and water mixture and a damp cloth. If the wooden parts of the watch have stained in heavy use, you can sand them with a fine sandpaper (roughness 1000-3000).
Oiling the wood
After cleaning or sanding the wood, we recommend to oil the wooden parts with a natural paraffin or linseed oil. This keeps the wood dirt and moisture repellent and the beautiful natural shine of the wood will be restored.
Battery Replacement
The battery of quartz movement lasts 2-8 years, depending on the model. You can replace the battery easily at the nearest watch store.
Elk Leather wallet and bracelet
To keep the gorgeous elk leather in the best shape, we recommend cleaning and conditioning about once a year.
Cleaning the leather
We recommend a mild and oil-based soap (eg Marseille soap). Mix a small amount of soap with lukewarm water. The oil of the soap restores the skin’s natural oiliness, so use soap oil-based soap. Soak the sponge in the soapy water. Squeeze most of the water out; the sponge should remain only a little damp. Clean the leather in a circular motion. Repeat until the surface looks clean. Allow the leather to dry.
Conditioning the leather
After cleaning the leather, you can give your wallet or bracelet some extra love by treating it with a colorless conditioner product that is suited for leather.
WOODEN SUNGLASSES
Cleaning
If necessary, the wooden parts of the sunglasses can be cleaned with a mild soap and a damp cloth. If there is makeup stuck on the sunglasses, you can use an oil-based makeup cleaner for getting it off.
The lenses are easy to clean with lukewarm water or the microfiber cloth that comes with the glasses.
Oiling the wood
After cleansing, treat the wood parts with paraffin or linseed oil. This makes the surface of the wood even more dirt-repellent.
