There is no other wood like ebony. Its history goes back through the ages and enchants with its luscious richness. Few other woods have remained as popular for millennia: from ancient Egyptian tombs to Indian kings’ drinking cups and the handles of Japanese samurai swords, ebony has been worshiped because of its beauty and mystery.
You will understand the mystical allure of ebony as soon as you take a piece into your hand: the wood is almost black as midnight. Due to its popularity, most trees in the ebony family are nowadays endangered. That is why we are very selective about the origin of our ebony. We use only FSC-certified ebony, mainly from Mozambique.

The sapphire-coated mineral crystal glass is attached directly to the steel body. The sapphire coating makes the glass virtually scratch-free, while the mineral crystal glass ensures great shockproofing. A similar glass is also used in diving watches due to its excellent properties.
FI FinlandThis timepiece has the look and feeling of a quality product. I am quite satisfied with it. The wood is surprisingly heavy and hard, which gives a nice touch to it. It would be nice to have a micro-adjustment clasp on the bracelet, as some other reviewees have stated. The webpage should contain more accurate information on this "ebony" (eeben) wood, as technically Dalbergia melanoxylon is not eben, but african blackwood (afrikanpalisanteri/mustapalisanteri in Finnish). This is not a bad thing, at least for me anyway, as this wood is even better material compared to actual eben. I think many would also appreciate, if there were more watches with sapphire crystal glass rather than mineral crystal glass with sapphire coating in your quartz watch selection. It would make them a lot more durable for accidents.

Aarni Watches are made to fit all wrist sizes. The wooden band can be adjusted to match your wrist size by removing or adding band links. Each watch is supplied with extension links and small screwdrivers that allow the band to be adjusted conveniently at home, too. The video shows you how to adjust the band length.
